What We Do

Discover.Legal helps you tell your story effectively while ensuring compliance with court formatting rules. Our platform handles the technical requirements so you can keep your attention on crafting your narrative—not wrestling with formatting. We provide formatting automation and AI assistance—not legal advice.

🚨 Critical: We Don't Provide Legal Advice

We are not a law firm. Using our service does not create an attorney-client relationship. We don't advise on legal strategy or review your documents for legal merit. We only help with formatting and presentation.

When to hire a lawyer: If you need legal advice, strategy help, document review, or court representation, consult a licensed attorney. If you're unsure, ask a lawyer—many offer free consultations.

Your Account & Eligibility

• Must be 18+ years old
• Provide accurate information
• Keep your credentials secure
• One account per person
• You're responsible for all account activity

Privacy: We Never Sell Your Data

Your data belongs to you. We will never sell, rent, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

What we do:

• Store your data securely to run the service
• Use de-identified, aggregated data for research (with your consent)
• Process payments through Stripe
• Comply with valid legal orders

What we don't do:

• Sell your data (ever)
• Share with advertisers or third-party AI training
• Read your documents (unless you request support)

Payments

• $79 per completed document
• Non-refundable after download
• Pricing changes require 30 days notice
• Failed payments may suspend service

What You Can Do

• Create and download documents you've paid for
• Export your data anytime
• Use documents for personal or business purposes

What You Cannot Do

• Illegal activities or false information
• Hacking, scraping, or reverse engineering
• Reselling our service
• Harassing others or uploading malware

Your Rights

You own your documents. We own the platform. You give us permission to process your content to provide our service.

Your data rights:

• Access, export, or delete your data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Opt out of marketing

AI Disclaimer

AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing your documents for accuracy. Always double-check before filing in court. Consider having an attorney review important documents.

Service Terms

• Provided "as is" without warranties
• We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose
• We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee it
• Not responsible for service interruptions

Limitation of Liability

Our maximum liability is limited to the lesser of:

• What you paid us in the last 12 months, or
• $100

We are not liable for:

• Consequential damages, punitive damages, or indirect losses
• Legal validity or effectiveness of your documents
• Outcomes of legal proceedings

Termination

We may suspend/terminate if you:

• Violate these terms
• Use the service fraudulently
• Don't pay
• Harm our service or users

You can cancel anytime (no refunds for completed documents).

Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and perform regular audits. However, no system is 100% secure—you use the service at your own risk.

Changes to Terms

We can update these terms anytime. We'll email you about significant changes with 30 days notice for material changes affecting your rights. Continued use means you accept the changes.

Dispute Resolution

Step 1 - Talk to us: Contact support@discover.legal first.

Step 2 - Mediation: Before any lawsuit, you agree to try mediation. Costs are split equally. Takes place online.

Exception: You can skip mediation for small claims court.

Class action waiver: All claims must be individual—no class actions, collective actions, or representative proceedings.

Legal Details

Governing law: Texas, United States

Venue & Jurisdiction: Courts in Texas, United States, or where you live (if we serve that area)

Severability: If one part is unenforceable, the rest still applies

Entire agreement: These terms plus our Privacy Policy
